Desert

In terms of geography, the desert is an area that receives little precipitation - less than 250 mm per year. Desert is considered to have little ability to support life. When compared with the wetter regions this may be true, even if observed closely, the desert often have a life that is usually hidden (especially during the day) to maintain body fluid. Approximately one third of the earth is shaped desert region.
Desert landscapes have some common characteristics. Desert consists mainly of surface rocks. Dunes, called ERG and rocky surface is forming another part of the desert.
Deserts sometimes contain valuable mineral deposits formed in dry environments (English: 'arid') or exposed by erosion. Dryness of the desert region makes it an ideal place for the preservation of historical relics and fossils.
